According to the Boise Department of Parks & Recreation, customers have already scooped up 260 out of 300 available bleacher seats for the upcoming X Games Qualifier. Department spokesperson Bonnie Shelton said she expects the remaining 40 seats to be sold by the end of the weekend.

Original Post, May 15, 1:20 p.m.:
Bleacher seats have been an X Games Qualifier tradition in Boise since the event came to Rhodes Park in 2017, and on May 14, tickets to claim them for the 2019 showdown went on sale for $25 a pop. A day later, more than two-thirds had sold.

"I definitely think we'll sell out this year," said Boise Parks and Recreation spokesperson Bonnie Shelton.

As in years past, 300 of the right-in-front-of-the-action seats have been made available, and by 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, people had bought 216 of them.

When the X Games Qualifier first came to Boise, the city only sold bleacher tickets for the Saturday elimination rounds, but in 2018, it sold the seats for events on both Friday and Saturday. This year, city officials decided to return to the 2017 format, leaving the prestige seats open on a first-come-first-serve basis on Friday, June 28, and only selling them for events on Saturday, June 28.

"We kind of wanted to make it free and open to the public, so they could check out those qualifying rounds," Shelton said.

Tickets are still available, and can be bought here.
