Tuesday, June 13, was only the second week for Alive After Five on the Grove Plaza, but the 2018 edition of the summer concert season was a scorcher, featuring hot licks from Ivory Deville, billed as "an authentic roadhouse band," and even hotter temperatures.

Ivory Deville performed an interesting mix of hard-driving rock with occasional oddities such as the 1950s bubble-gum song "It's My Party" sprinkled in.

At the Boise Weekly Alive After Five booth this summer, we're asking attendees to weigh in on a whole myriad of topics, and Tuesday night was no exception. We asked respondents if they were planning on attending this weekend's Pridefest, the X Games qualifier, both or neither. To spice things up a bit, we also asked attendees if they would be willing to eat a bug if it had been prepared by a gourmet chef.

"Absolutely," said a good many folks.

"Absolutely not," said more than a few others.

"You bet, especially if it was covered in chocolate," a gentleman named Tim told us.

"I've tasted the big ants. They're a little lemony," said Rick, who ate bugs during a wilderness survival exercise while training for the military.

Overall, 76 percent of respondents told us they would eat a bug if it had been prepared by a chef.

As for their plans for the upcoming weekend, 35 percent told us that they wouldn't be attending either the X Games qualifier or Pridefest, 22 percent said they would be attending both, 18 percent said they would be attending only Pridefest and 15 percent told us they would be attending only the X Games qualifier.
