The Basque Museum and Cultural Center interprets the history of the Basques in Idaho and their old-world origins. Included are exhibits, archives, library, and museum store. The 1864 Cyrus Jacobs-Uberuaga house, the city’s oldest brick building and for many years a Basque boarding house, is adjacent to the main facility. The house will be open for tours after a complete interior restoration. Hours: Tuesday – Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed Sunday, Monday and holidays.
