Best "Are You Sure We Are Not in San Francisco, Honey?"

June 14, 2009

Editors' Picks

On one beautiful Saturday summer morning, standing on the Grove Plaza, one could be party to an amazing cultural mashup. More than 10,000 people browsed the farmers market, a stage in the corner featured music and poetry from Boise's refugee community, and a block west, Boise's Gay Pride parade marched by, a serpentine line of rainbow celebrants. If you don't think Boise is a global organic queer town at least once in a while, you may have to think again.
