Once upon a time, Boise author Alan Heathcock wrote a collection of short stories and published them in a book called Volt. Then critics in lands far and near started noticing that fine collection of stories and praising it far and wide. Then, beings called filmmakers took notice themselves, realizing that the raw, visual stories in Volt might just be perfect fodder to make movies out of. Now, both "Fort Apache" and "Smoke" from Volt are being made into short films. And everyone lived happily ever after, the end. alanheathcock.com
