Anthony Doerr

Born in Ohio, Doerr, better known as Tony, is as close to a Boise native as they come without technically being one. To the rest of the world, he's the author of the short story collections The Shell Collector and Memory Wall, the memoir Four Seasons in Rome and the the novel About Grace. He's perhaps best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning, New York Times-bestselling novel All the Light We Cannot See, which ended up on former President Barack Obama's nightstand. Plus, he's the recipient of four O. Henry Prizes, and if that's still not enough, he's also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. anthonydoerr.com
