Storyfort was one of the recipients of grant money from the Boise City Department of Arts & History.

The Boise City Department of Arts & History has announced it is awarding $150,000 in grants to 35 people and organizations across the City of Trees in Fiscal Year 2019.

The grants range in size from $2,000 to $5,000, and the program was designed to support artistic and cultural projects that reflect the livability of Boise. Here are the winners:
  • $5,000 awards:
Ballet Idaho's Learning Through Dance outreach, Boise Baroque Orchestra season support, Boise Contemporary Theater season support, Dulce Sweet Events & Consulting's Latino cultural programming, GCG Prductions' Bamboo & Barbed Wire documentary film project, HomeGrown Theatre's seventh-annual Horrific Puppet Affair, i-48's February Challenge, Idaho Dance Theatre season support, Idaho Horror Film Festival cultural support, Idaho Office for Refugees' World Refugee Day, LED's Ghost Notes, Ming Studios operations support, Opera Idaho's performance of As One and accompanying lecture, Radio Boise operations support, Story Story Night season support, Storyfort event support, TAG Historical Research's Traveling Trolley Time Capsule, Wingtip Press community workshop and exhibition
  • $4,000 awards:
Basque Museum & Cultural Center server support, Boise All-Ages Movement Project season kickoff, Campfire Theatre Festival event support, Idaho Japanese Association's Japan Day support, Stevens Historical Research Associates research and interviews
  • $3,500 award:
Boise Philharmonic's Musicians in the Classroom
  • $3,000 awards:
Boise Old Time cultural programming, Colossal Cinematic Showcase local filmmaker short film premieres, Olivia Weitz and Arlie Sommer's audio postcards of Basque sausage makers, Serenata Chamber Orchestra free concert with Jim Cockey, The Boise Chordsmen performances
  • $2,000 awards:
Rock on Wheels music education and outreach, Sean Dahlman multi-media performance
