After space dramas like Interstellar, Passengers and First Man comes a different kind of intergalactic story, this time for the stage: Boise Contemporary Theater’s brand-new production, Rabbit/Moon. Written by BCT’s own Matthew Cameron Clark and Dwayne Blackaller (the company’s artistic director and associate artistic director, respectively), Rabbit/Moon tells the story of two astronauts stuck on the moon, separated from each other and far from home. In an unexpected twist, when darkness descends, a fairytale curtain rises on a cast of animal characters in a paper forest made from moon dust.

Rabbit/Moon explores the liminal space between what we think and what we feel,” according to the BCT website. One thing is for certain: As the 7 p.m. show on Wednesday, April 17, is the production’s world premiere, you’ve probably seen nothing like it.

Rabbit/Moon runs through Saturday, May 4. Tickets are available here.
