While Boise Public Library officials continue to aggressively campaign to convince more Boiseans that a new downtown library is a necessity, two new services are slated to rollout in the coming days.

The biggest change will be effective this Wednesday, May 1, when most checked-out items will be automatically renewed up to five times. The main exception will be if that item is on hold for another customer. Each auto-renewal could extend the loan period for an additional 2-4 weeks. Customers would be notified of the automatic renewal via e-mail two days prior to the item's due date. You can find out more information by clicking here.

Come Monday, May 6, the library will launch a new email newsletter, "This Month at the Boise Public Library," highlighting new resources and programs available through the library system. Going forward, the newsletter will be set out the first Monday of each month. You can subscribe by clicking here.
