Boise Officials Unfurl #IAmBoise Rainbow Banners for 2018 Pride Fest

City of Boise officials kicked off the 2018 edition of Pridefest a bit early June 1st by unfurling rainbow-colored banners, which include the hashtag #IAmBoise in the downtown core.  The banners will line downtown streets through the month of June.

A full week of Pride events get underway Friday, June 8 with performances scheduled at a number of venues across the city. A Boise AIDS walk takes place Saturday, June 9; The Flicks hosts a Pride movie night on Wednesday, June 13th; a VIP cocktail meet and greet will take place Thursday, June 14 at Amsterdam Lounge; and recording artist Steve Grand will perform on the evening of Friday, June 15 in Cecil D. Andrus Park (formerly Capitol Park).

Things kick into full gear on Saturday, June 16 with a 9 a.m. rally on the steps of the Idaho Statehouse, followed by the annual Pride rainbow parade at 10 a.m., and a full day of food, music and entertainment in Cecil D. Andrus Park. Festivities stretch into Sunday, June 17 with more events, including a "recovery" party.  You can read the full slate events by clicking here.
