Boise police are investigating an alleged attack as a possible hate crime. BPD was summoned in the early morning hours of June 14 to West Emerald Street near Camelot Drive, where a man said he was beaten by three suspects.

The victim was driving through the area when three men flagged him down. He said when he got out of his car, the suspects made remarks about his nationality, brandished a knife and physically assaulted him. The victim was taken to the hospital, treated for his injuries and released.

Meanwhile, BPD is looking for any assistance in the investigation. The only information investigators have offered is that the suspects are Hispanic males and were driving a red truck. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
