Boise Police Release Sketch of Suspect Wanted in Sexual Assault

Boise police released a sketch late Tuesday, in the hopes the public can provide information on a reported sexual assault  near Hickory Court and Wheaton Lane.

A Boise woman told police she was walking in the area at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 31 when an adult male grabbed her from behind, threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The alleged attacker reportedly took off on foot while the victim was treated at an area hospital.

Police said they believe the incident to be isolated but are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS (2677).

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male, in his mid- to late-30s, with scruffy facial hair and a scar on his left cheek. The suspect was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, baseball cap and jeans.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for a tip that leads to a felony arrest.
