The best day of the year for the approximate 26,000 K-12 students in the Boise School District is Thursday, June 2—the last day of classes. That's only the half of it, though. Later that day, all six outdoor public swimming pools will open for the summer.

Youth season swim passes start at $30 for Boise residents, and a family pass for residents is $114 and covers up to five family members, including at least one adult.

For some one-time-only fun, family swim nights are every Wednesday and on weekends, with a family rate of $9. Swimming lessons are also available at all six pools, and eight 25-minute classes are offered Mondays-Thursdays in two-week sessions. Get more information at
