Boise Weekly's Mother’s Day Brunch Beat

Let’s face it. You owe your mom. Big. Same goes for your stepmom, grandma, aunt, sister—whoever has shouldered the mother mantle and put up with your nonsense over the years. The least you could do is take her out for a nice meal on Mother’s Day, which is Sunday, May 8.

Below are a handful of options to wine and dine that most special lady in your life.

36th Street Bistro: Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Crab cake Benedict. Sunday booked up. Special price: TBD.

Bonefish Grill: Sunday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Selected Benedict and omelet options plus bottomless mimosas. Price: TBD

The Brickyard: Sunday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Full buffet with omelets made to order, dessert options, bloody marys and mimosas. $25 for adults, $15 for kids.

Chandlers: Sunday, 2-8 p.m. Full dinner service as well as a three-course prix fixe menu including lobster bisque, prime rib, fish market salad, pacific king salmon, duck two ways, double lamb chops and veal piccata, whiskey butter cake or fresh berry napoleon. $38 per person. Proceeds benefit the Women's and Children's Alliance.

Eagle Hills Golf Course Eighteen One: Sunday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Brunch buffet with seafood bar, oysters on the half shell, tri-tip and pork roulade, breakfast favorites, pasta and salad options, housemade pastries. Coffee and first champagne or mimosa is included in the price. $43.95 adults, $40.95 for adults 60 and older, $24.95 for kids 2-12.

Guru Donuts: Sunday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Featured Mother’s Day donut flavors including tamarind margarita, mom and apple pie and mama loves mango. Take part in the Sweet Mama raffle for the chance to win prizes from downtown businesses.

Juniper: Sunday, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Regular brunch menu plus moms get a glass of champagne on the house.

Leku Ona Fine Basque Dining: Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Featured menu includes beef tenderloin roast with demi-glace served with Parisian carrots and roasted red potatoes ($24.95); grilled salmon served on a bed of haricot vert with aromatic butter and white rice ($21.95). Moms get a free malted chocolate caramel pie and mimosa with the order of an entree.

Rice Contemporary Asian Cuisine: Sunday brunch 11 a.m.-3 p.m., dinner 3-8 p.m. Menu includes an omelet bar, salad bar, seafood, sushi, carved prime rib, curry, made-to-order noodle/pasta with choice of meat and sauce, and gourmet dessert. Wash it down with bottomless champagne/mimosas. Soft drinks and coffee included. $29.99 adults, $27.99 adults 60 and older, $12.99 kids 12 and under.

Riverside Hotel: Sunday, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Brunch features prime rib with au jus and horseradish, custom omelet station, eggs Benedict, breakfast meats, waffles, potatoes and scrambled eggs, smoked trout, salads, fresh fruit and crudites, house-made desserts, bottomless mimosas and more—all to the tune of live classical music from Matthew Tutsky and Friends. $35 adults, $26 adults 60 and older, $16 kids 6-12, kids under 5 eat free.

Saint Lawrence Gridiron: Sunday, 5-9 p.m. Four-course Mother’s Day dinner with a cocktail special and complimentary flowers and chocolate. $45.

Shore Lodge (McCall): Sunday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Brunch includes huckleberry pancakes and omelets, “tableside” eggs Benedict, fresh salmon and carved prime rib. Live piano music on the patio. $39 adults, $15 kids.

Smoky Mountain Pizzeria Grill: Sunday, open early at 11 a.m. Featuring mimosas and complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries for moms.

Snake River Tea: Sunday, 1-3 p.m. Free cup of tea and pastry for mom.
