Re: “Special Grocery Store Planned for Boise's West End

West Boise is not the west end, nor is 15th street the west end. It's downtown, period.

Re: “Blueprint Boise Makes Bench Dwellers Blue

What's wrong with gentrification? I'll take gentrification any day over ghetto-fication.

Five lane highway? Don't you think that's a bit hyperbolic? Try a landscaped boulevard like Harrison. You never hear anyone complain about Harrison. In fact Harrison is one of Boise's most beloved streets and could be considered the epitome of what the north end is all about.

Re: “7 Wonders of Boise

I'm gonna say it again. Choosing Jerry's market as one of the 7 wonders of Boise is one of the most idiotic things ever to come out of the Boise Weekly. Even more idiotic than making the McCall and Ketchum delivery routes one single route. FACEPALM!

Re: “No sex on my iPhone

If only there was some larger version on the iphone, that could sit on your desk top and had access to more porn than you could watch in a life time.

Seriously folks, you don't like the iphone because of lack of porn? Society is doomed! DOOMED!

Re: “7 Wonders of Boise

Jerry's market, what? Are you high? It's a dump. It's an eyesore that should have been razed years ago.

Jerry's market is one of the 7 wonders of Boise and no mention of the greenbelt? What about the footbridge at Warm Springs Golf Course? Hell, that ugly ass cross on Table Rock is more of a wonder than Jerry's Market. The old railroad bridge just down 27th is more of a wonder.

Hell, the run-over laying-on-the-ground neighborhood sign across the street from Jerry's is more of a wonder.

Re: “West End Story

It should be mentioned that the Veterans Park Neighborhood Association is in charge of the area. There are those who would like to split VPNA to create a West End Neighborhood Association. This would include adding the Fairview/Main Corridor which is currently orphaned, i.e., the Corridor is not a part of any neighborhood association.

Re: “Boise Shrugged

Over 1200 words and not one mention of the layout of Front and Myrtle themselves. What does one expect when there is a de facto freeway right through downtown? Does anyone seriously think anyone even wants to walk on the sidewalks of Front and Myrtle, let alone eat at a sidewalk cafe? With the amount of traffic, how wide would the sidewalks have to be to make pedestrians feel comfortable? What about the noise? The long term plan should be to bury those roads through downtown, and open up the roof of the tunnel to pedestrians. Start with Front St first, from Capitol to 11th. This would be a much better use of tax money than a trolley.
