Slideshow: Boise's Natatorium Pool Will Again Host 'See Spot Splash' on Monday

Knowing that they have to drain and scrub public pools at the end of summer anyway, the City of Boise launched a tradition in 2009 when they began hosting an end-of-the-season dog pool party at the Natatorium on Warm Springs Avenue. On Monday, Aug. 20, the 10th-annual "See Spot Splash" will again be sponsored by the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Idaho Humane Society.

So that every pooch gets some pool time, there will be separate  one-hour sessions, beginning at 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. The maximum capacity is 60 dogs per hour.

Admission is free, but donations are welcome to help benefit local dog parks and the Idaho Humane Society.

Monday also happens to be the first day of school for the Boise Independent School District, but students will be released early.

Monday's rules of the pool and a waiver for dog owners are available by clicking here. Dog owners are encouraged to print and fill out the waiver and bring it to Monday's event.
