Broadway in Boise: Jersey Boys, The Morrison Center

Tuesday-Thursday, June 12-14

This is how the morrisoncenter.com">Morrison Center website introduces the Jersey Boys, subjects of its upcoming production of the same name: "They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide—all before they were 30!" But despite that rosy picture, it's not all chart-topping hits and slicked-back hair. In their rise to fame, the four core members of the Jersey Boys—Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito, Nick Massi and frontman Frankie Valli—struggled with everything from personal differences to mob bosses and gambling debts. The production puts those dramas and the group's best-known songs, "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" among them, center stage for a musical performance that will take Boise audiences from the Gem State to the Garden State.
