Re: “Art in the Park

I would like to take this opportunity to say what a disaster this year's Art in the Park was. We have been going for 8 years, and I am not sure if we are going back.
The most serious issue for us this year was the insane layout. There were many places we could not visit because you had to navigate around large trees in the middle of the path. With the big roots protruding from the ground. and some electrical cords out there, it was extremely difficult for my wife, in a mobility scooter to get around. There were many booths we had no access to. And in over 75% of the booths we did get to see, people were complaining about the new design this year.
The food vendors were all over the place. And four Pronto Pups??? That was a bit much. Several vendors that I talked to were also complaining about many different issues. I can't believe the number of unhappy vendors out there. Some said if goes the same next year, they would not be back.
Parking for us was not a problem because we were able to park in the handicap area, but I heard a lot of complaints about it.
And what about the lack of music. We have always enjoyed grabbing a bite to eat and sit and relax to whatever was playing. Very disappointing to say the least.
I think whoever was in charge this year should be fired. He or she ruined what should have been a relaxing day. All I can say about our visit today is that it was a big waste of deodorant. This year was a total bust and the amount of unhappy people we ran into was unheard of. If things don't change for next year, I am afraid you will see a major decline in the amount of visitors that will come to the Art in the Park, including me.
