BW's Treefort 2019 Playlist: Ruby Kane and Caroline Rose

Day three at Treefort saw some rain, but the blue weather didn’t dim the crowds. The venues were filled with bright smiles and warm vitality.

Ruby Kane played at the District and brought tears to people’s eyes as she closed her act with a song that she dedicated to her fiance. Singing lyrics like “I could never let you drown,” her voice is comparable to that of Birdy’s, and rippled through the audience with a powerful vibrato that transcended to airy notes.

Caroline Rose brought powerful energy to the stage, with punk rock vibes and a fierce attitude. She raced through her set in head-to-toe red denim, with songs that were perfect road trip tunes. Towards the end of her act, she covered Britney Spears’ “Toxic”, which everyone sang along to, reaching for memories of youthful days spent listening to the pop princess.
