Camping Conundrum

The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation says that most state campgrounds are already at capacity for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. For those that "chance it"-cruising the campgrounds late Friday night to find that last open spot, cursing and promising next year to plan ahead-here's a little help. Since by the time you read this it will be too late to reserve a site, your only hope is those campgrounds with lots of first-come-first-serve sites. IDPR "Best Bet" suggestions include Massacre Rocks at American Falls and Lake Cascade State Park outside of Cascade. Of course, you could always opt for camping just about anywhere on BLM land. Just cross your fingers and hope it doesn't rain.
