If the news of the 2017 Christmas tree shortage has drained your holiday spirit, don't worrybeautiful trees are still to be had. Although a shortage of anything often means a price hike, there are a few places in Boise where you can feel good about spending the extra dollar (or the extra time) and come home with something quirky. Check out the options below for a dose of good cheer, but don't forget to check the closest nursery too.

The Owyhee County Historical Museum Christmas Bazaar and Charlie Brown Tree Sale—Check out the Owyhee County Historical Museum's annual Christmas Bazaar and Charlie Brown Tree Sale. They'll have local artists, food, homemade pies, homemade donuts, and fresh Christmas trees cut from the Silver City area. Tree prices range from $10-$25. Sat., Dec. 2, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Boise Rescue Mission Christmas Tree Sale—Purchase a beautiful Nordmann or Noble fir tree from Boise Rescue Mission and help provide safe and warm shelter, nutritious meals and a chance for homeless folks to transform their lives for good. Stop by the mission through Dec. 24 to pick up a tree. Prices vary. Mondays-Fridays, 4-7 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sundays, noon-7 p.m.
