Re: “No Pizza for Open Carry Gun Families

I have a Concealed Weapons license issued by Idaho. I don't carry a concealed gun or openly carry a gun, although I own two pistols. It simply isn't practical for me. However, I think that it is reasonable for individuals to openly carry guns if they choose to do so as long as they're law abiding citizens. I believe that people should protect themselves as they see fit as long as it is legal. As for those who like to say that it is improbable to need a gun for protection, 'improbable' doesn't console any of the people who have been physically victimized during their lives. Not too many years ago, a person who had an active warrant for their arrest shot a police officer during a routine traffic stop near Ustick Rd. and Curtis Rd here in Boise. The shooter fled, and he ended up hiding in a garage near the end of my block. Luckily, the occupants of the residence to which the garage was attached weren't harmed, and the person in question was arrested. An improbable event? Yes! But SHI$ happens! Open carry should not be stigmatized and should remain legal.
