City Announces Schedule for Boise X Games Qualifying Event 

For the second year in a row, Rhodes Park in Boise has been selected as a venue for an X Games qualifying event. The action this year will take place Friday and Saturday, June 15-16, at both Rhodes Park and Centurylink Arena. The city of Boise released a schedule of events April 3, as well as a short list of participating athletes.

Friday, June 15, Rhodes Park:
9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.—Women's skateboard park practice and elimination
11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.—Men's skateboard park practice and elimination
2 p.m.-4:30 p.m.—BMX park practice and elimination

At Centurylink Arena:
2-6 p.m.: Harley Hooligan Racing Practice and Seeding
7-9 p.m.: Harley Hooligan Racing

Saturday, June 16:
9-10 a.m.: Women's skateboard park practice
10-11 a.m.: Men's skateboard park practice
12:30-2 p.m.: Women's Skateboard Park Final
2:30-4 p.m.: Men's Skateboard Park Final
4:30-6 p.m.: BMX Park Final

Attendees should keep an eye out for Boise-based skateboarder Dalton Beeson, who took 11th place at the X Games qualifier in 2017; Australian BMXer Kyle Baldock, Minnesotan skater Nicole Hause, who took fourth place in the X Games Minneapolis final event in 2017; Lizzie Armanto of Santa Monica, California, who is the first female skater to land on the cover of Transworld Skateboarding, as well as the first female to appear on the cover of Thrasher in 24 years. She has won X Games Skateboard Park medals in three years. Jagger Eaton will be in Boise—the Arizonan took gold in X Games Skateboard Street Amateurs and Park Amateurs in 2017—as will Pedro Barros of Florianopolis, Brazil, who has won gold in six X Games skating competitions.
