Re: “Cinco De Mayo

The food here is great. The service is fine and the prices are very competitive with other Mexican food places. The atmosphere is a little cheesy but it is not the atmosphere isn't what I'm eating. The food has always been sizzling when brought to the table and the tortillas are made fresh and hot for each meal not something from a plastic bag.

Re: “Exploring the Possibility of a Year-Round Farmers Market

If this is to really work it needs to be outside of downtown Boise City. The mayor and his suck ups can't see anything if it isn't within 8 blocks of City Hall. Get private money and donations but keep it out of the heart of downtown.

Re: “No Law Requires Pharmacist to Fill A Prescription

So now along with the insurance companies second guessing the doctor we have to deal with religious right pharmacists too. I think we need some health care reform.

Re: “No Pizza for Open Carry Gun Families

These people do have a right to open carry a weapon but the businesses they try to enter also have the right to refuse them entry or service. The patrons of the businesses also have the right to get up and leave or refuse to give their business to these establishments in the first place. These people talk about protection but who will protect us from these people if in their paranoia they decide I or my family is a threat. If they are that distrustful of the police and the government and are that fearful let them go out into the desert and build a compound and stay there.

Re: “Tea Party Inspired by Racial Fears

I voted for Obama actually hoping that he was what he said he was a change. I have been sorely disappointed to discover that he is just another politician that would say and do anything to get elected. I no longer support him and now believe that he is worse for the country than John McCain would have been, if that is racist then so be it.

Re: “Two Council Candidates Drop Out

Great that is all we need is yet another developer on the City Council. That is why things are so screwed up now. There have been too many developers or people who make their money from uncontrolled growth on the city council. So I will not be voting for Litster.

Re: “Health Care RX

I go to your office and I wait for 20 minutes in the waiting room. I go the exam room and wait another 10 minutes. When you finally breeze in I have your undivided but very distracted attention for all of 5 minutes. I'm told my blood pressure is still a little high and my blood sugar is in the target area. Keep taking the meds and see me in another 6 months. For this I'm charged $92. Now I like my doctor but I could have told him that over the phone.

As I see it the doctor is trying to see as many patients as possible to maximize income. Why do I think this? Because if anything else comes up I have to schedule another appointment because he doesn't have the time to check into that right now.

I do agree that there is a need for tort reform. The compliance issue can be solved with a single payer system rather than the numerous private plans that we have now. Pay doctors for results not the number of patients seen.

Re: “Big Bird's Burgers

Just got back from eating at Big Bird's Burgers and I was totally unimpressed. The staff was very friendly but the food was nothing to write home about. I had the chili burger. It arrived in a paper basket, like the rest of the food. Just how do you eat a chili burger in a hard paper basket with plastic fork and spoon. The burger was also only slightly warm rather than hot. My wife had the Western burger which she said was good but not great. The basket of onion rings were hot but I could have changed the oil in my car with them. On a scale of one to ten maybe a three and only for the staff not for the food.
