An article I recommend to all thinking to travel to Cuba:

Re: “From Boise to Havana: Idahoans Filling Human-Rights Tours to Cuba

This is a joke. The real "human rights" tour to Cuba would not stay in hotels owned by the Castro politico-economic elite. It would not eat in state owned restaurants. It would not travel in state owned buses. A real "human rights" tour to Cuba would not follow an itinerary approved and managed by the Castro regime with sheltered pre-arranged meetings with what the regime wants you to think is the people.
A real "human rights tour" would stay in "casas particulares" (private homes), travel like Cubans, eat in "paladares" (private restaurants), see not the highlights and cleaned up neighborhoods but the real Cuba, would take medicines for the people and would express support for those that speak out against repression.
