Dance Ability 

When: Wednesdays, 4:45-5:45 p.m. Continues through Oct. 21 2009

Individuals with disabilities are invited to participate in a new section of Dance Ability, a program offered by Boise Parks & Recreation. In Dance Ability classes, children and adults have the opportunity to develop skills in creative movement and dance. Students learn to increase their strength, flexibility and coordination through various styles of dance. The class is open to all levels of dancers but will focus on a beginning level for individuals with developmental disabilities. Classes meet at the Grace Jordan Community Center, 6411 W. Fairfield Ave., near Overland and Curtis. The adult class is open to participants age 13 and older. The adult class meets Wednesdays from 4:45-5:45 p.m. Sept. 16-Oct. 21. Cost is $22. Register online at www.cityofboise.org/parks, by phone at 384-4486 or in person at the Fort Boise Community Center, 700 Robbins Road. Scholarships are available.
