David Andrews Band

With twin babies at home, David Andrews only has time for one summer concert this season

Between his full-time job and his other full-time job—chasing after two toddling boys and two active dogs—David Andrews will manage to squeeze one concert in this summer. And he's going to make the most of it.

On Friday, July 24, David Andrews Band plays the Knitting Factory with support from Travis McDaniel and Bill Coffey and his band. As if that weren't enough, Andrews is bringing in acclaimed California violin/fiddle player Chris Murphy and Portland, Ore. guitarist Al Toribio. And as if that weren't enough, each ticket is worth a free full-length CD.

And there's still more. Andrews is currently working on a new album with an old acquaintance who he knows from his Calobo days, Emmy-award winning singer/songwriter/guitarist Jeff Trott (Sheryl Crow). They're talking about Trott producing and co-writing the new record.

Friday, July 24, 8 p.m., $12,(which, don't forget, comes with a free CD). Knitting Factory, 416 S. Ninth St.,bo.knittingfactory.com.
