  • The Metropolitan Opera has suspended its association with James Levine, its conductor and music director for nearly four decades, after three men accused Levine of sexually abusing them when they were teens. The New York Post reports one of the alleged victims said Levine gave him with $50,000 in cash over the years. Levine has was honored for his lifetime of artistic achievement by the Kennedy Center in 2003, and has been nominated for a total of 37 Grammy Awards, winning 10. Levine conducted a performance of Verdi's "Requiem" at Lincoln Center Saturday, Dec. 2.

  • Billy Bush, the former TV host who was shown the door by NBC in the wake of the 2016 Access Hollywood recording scandal, disputes President Donald Trump's recent claim that the infamous tape in which he can be heard bragging about grabbing women by their genitals, is a fake.

"He said it," Bush wrote in a New York Times op-ed. Bush says Trump's recent rebuke was "some revisionist history," and seven people, including Bush, heard Trump aboard the Access Hollywood bus. "Every single one of us assumed we were listening to a crass stand-up act," wrote Bush. "He was performing. Surely, we thought, none of this was real."

"Wonder Wheel isn't merely a bad movie but a laughable one," says NPR. "Wonder Wheel loses its charms quickly and you'll soon be begging to get off this particular ride," says the Associated Press. "'Oh God, spare me the bad drama,' a character in Woody Allen's Wonder Wheel implores. Would that we could be so fortunate," writes the Los Angeles Times. "Wonder Wheel, Woody Allen's latest movie, one of his more unfortunate contributions to cinema," writes The New York Times.

In of the more unfortunate plot lines in Wonder Wheel , a man gives up his illicit affair with a woman, only to become attracted to her much younger stepdaughter. It's no big secret that Allen's wife, Soon-Yi, is the daughter of Allen's ex-partner Mia Farrow.
