Amid the exchange of invitations to the bar passed between Bill Cope and U.S. Congressional Candidate Andy Hedden-Nicely, there was no mention of Hedden-Nicely's opponents. Cope had to squint in the rear-view mirror to recall Andrus. I think the reason Cope didn't dedicate his column to the virtue of the Democrat running against Hedden-Nicely is because there isn't much to cheer about. Cope also can't explain why a vast majority of eligible voters don't bother to vote. I was a political omnivore when I lived in Idaho, and I remain one today in Montana. Last time around up here, I voted for a Democrat for governor and a Republican for Lt. Gov. They were the best candidates, and Andy Hedden-Nicely is the best candidate for U.S. Congress in the First District of Idaho. Vote United Party!
