There's a placard for Night of Giving outside Juniper on Eighth Street.

On June 30, nine people were wounded in a stabbing incident at the Wylie Street Station Apartments. One of the victims, a 3-year-old girl, later died from her injuries. Now, a handful of downtown eateries are pulling up a chair to help those affected by the tragedy.

The event, called Night of Giving, which is currently ongoing and runs through 1 a.m. on Friday, July 13. Numerous restaurants have pledged to donate a portion of their sales during this time to the International Rescue Committee and to families close to the stabbing incident—many of them refugees.

Participating businesses include Juniper, Prost! Boise, Red Feather Lounge, Donut Daze, The Mode Lounge, Eureka, Matador, Bittercreek Alehouse, The Chocolat Bar, City Peanut Shop, Alavita, Pie Hole, Fork and The Funky Taco.
