Re: “Dog Eat Dog

My 11 month golden retriever, Kenzie and I have completed the program taught by Richard at the Dog House. The program is overwhelming at first and very hands on. In no way is harm brought to our pets. We are there to be shown an effective way to redirect our dogs current way of thinking. Which is simple; I want to keep you safe so I am in charge. Because dogs are pack animals that rely on body language and physical stimulation, we are taught this so we can interact with our pet and give him the love and confidence he/she needs to be a successful part of our families. We are not going to walk out of that class with a dog ready to do tricks. That is not what is going to make our pet a good pet. What we learn from Richard's class is how to get our pet to respond to us in a positive way. I have only nothing good to say about the training Kenzie and I rec'd. In fact we are going to continue with the program. The Dog House also teaches and qualifies dogs for Therapy Dog programs and the Canine Good Citizenship Award Program.
