The Basque Museum and Cultural Center's newest exhibit, Estereoskopiko, features 31 photographs taken by Jesús de Echebarria (1882-1962) in and around Bilbao in the early 20th century. Echebarria was an amateur photographer specializing in the stereoscopic technique, which creates a 3-D illusion from two flat images. The images, chosen from over 2,000 taken by Echebarria, are presented in 3-D and require special glasses (provided by the museum) to view. Estereoskopiko is a collaboration between BMCC, the Museo Maritimo Ría de Bilbao, Izaskun Echebarria, Konrada Mugertza, and Estudios Durero Laboratorio para de arte. Through spring 2019.
