Re: “ICC Under Investigation by FBI, Justice Department

Hey Louise...we all got to see some guy get peeled back and that is now being pushed under the rug...where are the final reports of investigation done on the guards who were accused of taking drugs into the prison and where is a list of 100% negative UA's from the inmates to prove that there have not been any illegal substances being smuggled into there? That is after all what caused the fight in the first place is it not? You are ridiculous and you can any judge and jury you would like to in order to protect yourself and the rest of the world from the true injustices that are passed out at ICC on an hourly basis.

Re: “ICC Under Investigation by FBI, Justice Department

We are highly disappointed and deeply concerned about the Associated Press' decision to publicly release the incident video at CCA's Idaho Correctional Center. Public release of the video poses an unnecessary security risk to our staff, the inmates entrusted to our care, and ultimately to the public. As the AP knows, this is a concern that is shared by District Judge Owen, who recently denied the AP's request for an official copy of the video [The State of Idaho v. James Preston Haver, Case No. CR-FE-10-0004368, Ada County District Court]. In his memorandum, District Judge Owen stated the following:

Of course you are disappointed that the public got to see that. It is our right to know what is taking place in these types of environments. Some of us pay taxes and have family or friends housed in prisons, kind of a given considering the population that is currently incarcerated. That video being released poses no threat to anyone accept for the idiots running the place. This is NOT the only incident of the same nature that has occurred, this one just caught more public interest because it could have been mistaken for a hate or gang related crime. Idaho's justice system is a joke and rather than focusing on correction of offenders perhaps they should focus on their correction of ability to facilitate an actual method of correcting illegal behaviors.
