Re: “In the Kitchen with Gino Vuolo of Gino's Italian Ristorante

We love Gino's, as well, and have been patrons for over twelve years. I used to work downtown and attended frequently. Unfortunately, we live in southeast Boise and due to numerous factors, we have only visited the Meridian location twice. However, we are pleased the business's success has tripled! This is a direct reflection of a wonderful staff, delicious high-quality food, the establishment's intimate ambiance, and Gino, himself.

My petite, beautiful, blonde wife is a foodie and thrilled when eating every morsel of the wonderful bread and entrees. The Boar Shank, Calamari Fritti, Lobster Ravioli, and even the potato gnocchi are all winners, just to name a few. We have never had a bad dish. The desserts are fabulous too! The marionberry cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake always tempt me to get one of each. My wife loves the tiramasu.

No matter what we order, we have always left full, happy, and satisfied. But if you don't like something, speak up. Gino really wants his customers pleased and will do his best to make sure everyone's visit is a positive experience. It is simply the finest, most authentic, Italian restaurant in Idaho and one of the best outside of Italy. Period. We'll be making our third trip to Meridian soon!

Btw, the traditional Italian pizza Tony creates is amazing too. So if you're in downtown Boise and can't make it to Meridian, try Tony's Pizzeria. It's just north of the Egyptian Theatre on Capitol Blvd. Truly an awesome change from typical american pizza. And no I'm not related to the Vuolo's or have ever worked for them. Just one damn happy customer!
