Re: “Revolution Concert House and Event Center

After attending another concert at the Revolution I was very satisfied. It seems that the Bone thugs show on Dec 1, 2012 was a bad night for the concert house. When I went to Snoop Lion, the sound was thundering, the lights were spot on and the stage changes were much more professionally done. They addressed my concerns and I was very satisfied. I am attending the West Coast Fest on the tenth and look forward to it.

Re: “Revolution Concert House and Event Center

I went to the revolution for the first time for Bone Thugs In Harmony and had a horrible experience. I wrote the Revolution Concert House through facebook to express my concerns. Not only was my message ignored, but my comment on their facebook expressing my concerns was removed. I was surprised at the lack of professionalism after I had offered constructive criticism. I have worked for various concert halls and am personally a performer, so I do have a good idea of how a quality show is run.

I was actually very impressed by the appearance of this place, but the execution was awful.
1. Long breaks: First off I don't understand how there was so much down time going on. I think there was more time when nothing was happening than when musicians were performing. Half an hour is too long to leave the audience waiting, let alone the fourty five minutes of nothing that we got before the final local act. For rappers who require little to no equipment set up, this is inexcusable. Even if the performers take some burden for being unprepared, the job of the concert house is to screen these things out before hand.
2. Lighting: The lighting was everywhere. They would all shut off randomly and it seemed performers had to beg to get them on which REALLY hurt the flow and professionalism of the show and of the artists trying to perform.
3. Security: was useless. Out of all the fights that I saw, only one was broken up by security. Most of the time security just stared angirily as young girls were getting smashed by two people brawling and it was left up to concert goers to do the job of security.
4. Sound: The sound needs to be prepared for those types of shows, and a backup plan should be ready when all else fails. Not only did the sound flat out cut out during the main act, but performers couldn't even hear themselves in stage monitors. As a performer, I know this is the most awful thing to try to pull off for an audience. The sound was awful throughout the show with it cutting in and out constantly even through the local acts.

5. Professionalism: Response from management would be nice instead of ignoring the request of your paying customers.

This place has amazing potential and I hate to give an operating concert house such a harsh review because Idaho needs more shows to come through, but if the Venue is unable to provide quality for the performance than we are only that much more likely to be overlooked.
