Price: FREE
"Fly It Forward", sponsored by Ponderosa Aero Club, is a day of free half-hour airplane rides for women and girls who have never before flown in a small airplane. Only 50 spaces are available. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Call Ponderosa at 208-344-5401 to reserve a seat. FIF is an international charity event that takes place during International Women of Aviation Week. March 10 marks the anniversary of when Raymonde de laRouche, a Frenchwoman, became the first female in the world to earn a pilot's license, in 1910. A variety of aviation organizations in Europe and the US are celebrating with free flights designed to reach out to women and girls who may be interested in considering flying as a career or recreational goal.
