Knitting Factory, Saturday, May 12

The Knitting Factory Concert House is known for bringing big national names to downtown Boise, but sometimes it looks closer to home for high-quality bands to spotlight. One of those locals-only nights is coming up Saturday, May 12, and the slate of rockers is sure to shake the Knit to its foundations. Ghostbox, a darkly experimental band formed in 2013 with the self-declared intent to "consume the planet," will headline, followed by high-energy metal group Break Surface and post-hardcore rock band Faded Leroy. The rock/jazz crossover collective Basement will wrap up the night. While each band will bring its own flavor to the stage, a solid core performance from Ghostbox featuring its signature doom-tinged mix of melodic bridges and riff-heavy choruses will anchor them all. Stop by to help the headliner celebrate the release of its new EP, Visions of the Sky (1332 Records, 2018).
