Good cause + good music = good time

Curtis Stigers, Ned Evett and Bill Coffey are three local musicians who are in a good place to give back, lending their considerable musical talents to all types of events, concerts and fundraisers.

Recently, Evett was asked to perform at a benefit to help raise funds for St. Alphonsus' Arthritis Unit. Rather than hang out on stage alone, he invited his friends Coffey (with whom he recently recorded an album) and Stigers to join him.

In an e-mail, Stigers wrote that he agreed to do it not only because it's for a good cause, but because lately, the three of them have been getting together to work on material—both covers and originals—and "it's really turned into something nice." He also wrote that he thinks "the show will be a nice way for this to all come together in a cohesive 'band-like' way."

The show will be held in the hospital's state-of-the-art theater and, hopefully, there will be some hospital staff on call. Having these three powerhouse musicians on the same stage at once, might actually cause someone to overdose on excitement.
