Gooding Cops Make Skateboarding Ollie-gal

In the 3,200-person Idaho town of Gooding, over 20 young people gathered in front of the county courthouse on May 14 to protest a citywide ban on skateboarding. According to Gooding police, skateboarders have been responsible for repeated instances of littering and vandalism, most notably the recent decoration of several local businesses, police cars and LDS churches with the letters "GTV."

Police call the letters a "skateboarding symbol;" the closest connection BW could find was a series of underground vandalism videos titled "Graffiti TV." Regardless, boarders must now skate only on private property and obtain the owners' permission.
