Re: “Bacon's Lasagna Sizzles

I went there and was unimpressed, first off the bloody Mary was $10. In no way should a Bloody Mary cost $10. The food was so-so and overpriced. I too was put off by the fact that a lot of things were precooked, especially for the prices they were charging. I typically love going to Berryhill so don't think I am a hater, but unless they changed something in the last month or so, I probably won't be going back, to Bacon at least.

Re: “Barbacoa Brims with Bombast

To the person above, you have had way too much time on the Internet. Any social values you had are now gone; devolved into a muddy paste to which you spewed forth above. That being said, they are overpriced. $15 for Patron is absurd, no matter where you go unless it's someplace like New York. I like Barbacoa, they will be a staple in this community for a while, but they are overpriced no matter how you spin it.

As for the ad, in 20 years in this industry, I have never seen anything like it. It had provided much amusement and "water cooler" talk. Do I think it was the right way to handle it? Probably not, but it worked and people are talkin about them. The loyal will become even more loyal and the haters have more fuel for the fire. Either way they're the talk of the town and whatever the ad cost, it's paid for itself already.

Re: “20/20 Failure in Declo

Lol, wow some animosity towards a guy getting learnt. He shares a story of humility and getting his butt whooped royally and all (some of) you have is bile and poison spewing from your mouths. Way to make a showing for humanity people...

Re: “The Last Table

He wasn't saying that they should be treated any different but expressing how you feel as a member of the service industry when it happens. I think people are reading into this more than they should. It's and insiders blog from an insiders perspective and this is how people in the "biz" feel when you have a table that comes in like that. You still put on a face and take care of them, but doesn't change the fact that it sucks.
