  • Matt Hopper and the Roman Candles dropped its new album, Grand Ole Hopry, Nov. 11 at Reef.
It took all of five minutes for Matt Hopper and the Roman Candles to get the crowd at Reef on its feet Nov. 11.

The band performed every song off its new album, Grand Ole Hopry, which dropped the same day.

Featuring a new country/Americana sound and with tracks about growing up in Alaska, heartbreak and life on the road, Hopry conjures open spaces, legendary friendships and deeply felt loss

Opening for Hopper was San Francisco-based Vandella, whose vocalist, Tracey Holland, contributed her dusky pipes to tracks on Hopry and performed with the Roman Candles for the album release.

Grand Ole Hopry is available for streaming or download here.
