Hawks Host Community Events

The Boise Hawks have been busy on and off the field, getting involved in extracurricular activities of all sorts.

Up and coming on the Hawks' community calendar are two noteworthy events, one for the junior Hawks' fans and a fundraiser for the Women's Health Fund in the team's continued effort to help "strike out" breast cancer.

On Saturday, August 12, WaMu Kid's Club members are invited to attend a clinic with Hawks players and coaches. Hawks fans ages 12 and under can become a Washington Mutual Jr. Hawks Kid's Club member for $5. Membership benefits include a baseball hat, a Boise Hawks baseball and free admission to all games Monday through Wednesday. At the clinic, club members will not only learn from coaches, but will be able to meet players and get autographs.

Then on Saturday, September 2, Hawks players and coaches will once again take the field to teach Baseball 101. In a fundraising effort for the Women's Health Fund, Hawks players and coaches will offer training to community members for $20 per person from noon until 1:30 p.m.

For more information on the WaMu Kid's Club Clinic, how to sign up your child for membership, or on Baseball 101, visit www.boisehawks.com.
