Heart and Journey: Coming to Boise with "Open Arms"

On Sunday night, as the lights go up on Heart and Journey, the Taco Bell Arena will probably be filled with people for whom big bangs, Spandex animal-print pants and earrings the size of saucers were once part of their wardrobe.

I hope to be there myself, BW Calendar Guru in tow, feeling like little queens as Ann and Nancy Wilson pull out "Dog and Butterfly" and "Crazy on You." I bet we eat it up like barracudas in a goldfish pond.

I'm sure we'll see diehard Journey fans lovin', touchin' and squeezin' each other as fall for new lead singer, Steve Perry clone, Arnel Pineda. I'm convinced they'll be faithfully singing along as he (nearly accent free) attacks "Any Way You Want It" and "Don't Stop Believin'" and, I should be so lucky, "Feelin' That Way."

As we walk through a cloud of Aquanet to get to our seats, I know our hearts will be ready to go on a journey back to the past.
