Re: “Boise Council To Consider New Cycle Pub Rules

We were just visiting Boise on Business, and accidentally were invited by some strangers (definition: Friends you haven't met yet) to join them, alcohol was available, found myself laughing, chatting with motorists and pedestrians at stop signs, saw more of downtown Boise than any prior visit to Boise.
eth.hansen - please come up with a more definitive reason than being 'stupid'.

Good heavens, no one on our trip was 'sloshed, drunk, out of control (unless you consider pedaling and meeting new people in an enjoyable atmosphere - out of control) No one is MAKING anyone drink - actually there was less drinking, more laughing and talking than may typically be seen in a BAR. As to driving to the 'berbs' In chatting with the 'guide', most of their customers are either 'reserved parties' in which there is a designated driver or people who joined in along the way as we did, and we walked from our hotel to have dinner at the Basque restaurant and walked back. Drank less that night than we doubtless would have if we had gone to the 'bars' my business guest had wanted to check out. The object is not to see if you can get drunk enough to fall off. Always gonna find that type of behavior ( can we spell FRAT Part) didn't see it on the Bike Bar.

Well enough said - for those with "ears that WILL hear" for nay sayers, Eyore's, Chicken Littles and people to whom everything is STUPID no amount of additional information will make a difference. Can't change Small Minds.
