Hit the Trails

New mountain biking guide leads the way to the trails

No one can fault local outdoors author Steve Stuebner for not having good timing. Just as the weather forecast shows some hope that trails will dry out at some point this summer, Stuebner is ready to release the fifth edition of Mountain Biking in Boise.

The 176-page book is the latest in Stuebner’s set of guides to local recreation, and this one expands on the last edition with the inclusion of new trails at Bogus Basin Mountain Resort, the Idaho Velodrome and Cycling Park, Avimore and in the Boise Foothills.

The paperback is set to start hitting the shelves at area bookstores, outdoor retailers and bike shops on Monday, June 22, and Stuebner told BW it should be fully distributed within the next few weeks.

Sticker price for the book is $14.95, and this time around the guide includes some tips on trail etiquette, as well as trails for all levels of riders.

Watch for it in stores, but for some sample rides and maps, check out his Web site.
