With spots like Yard House, Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar, The Counter and Calle 75 Street Tacos already housed under its sprawling green-tinted roof, The Village at Meridian has become a dining destination—and it's about to get busier. In a press release April 4, CenterCal Properties, the company behind the Vegas-style shopping center, announced that six new companies, including three restaurants, will open at The Village this spring and summer.

The new-to-Idaho restaurants include Texas de Brazil, a Texas-based churrasco steakhouse similar to Tucanos Brazilian Grill, specializing in meat skewers shaved tableside; and The Donut + Dog, a self-proclaimed "artisanal donut and craft hot dog restaurant" out of Nashville, Tennessee. Not only does The Donut + Dog serve brioche donuts, it serves donut burgers: two 4-ounce patties and all of the fixings crammed between donut buns, paired with beer or champagne. They'll be joined by Utah-based Chip Cookies, which already has an Idaho location at 501 W. Main St. in downtown Boise. Texas de Brazil will open first at some point in April, followed this summer by the other two eateries.

Anthony Vince’ Nail Spa, Columbia Sportswear and the barber shop Roosters will also open at The Village in that window. According to CenterCal, "higher-than-average sales performance" from other nearby retailers drew the new players in, all of whom, with the exception of Chip, are making their debuts in the Gem State.
