Idaho Buckaroo Project

There is a very distinct kind of cowboy in far Eastern Oregon, Far Western Idaho and northern Nevada. This exhibit documents the unique nature of the Idaho Buckaroo. The exhibit features the gifted work of Western Traditional Artists form the Buckaroo Culture: MK Custom Idaho bits, spurs, and saddle blankets; horsehair ropes by Gloria Keys; rawhide braiding by Steve Derricott; rawhide gear by Charles Liesen, leather work by Deana Attebery and horsehair hitching by Gary Stark. These artisans are considered among the best in the nation. Opening reception Friday, March 30 from 5-7 p.m. Exhibition runs through Monday, April 30.
