Idaho CareLine Opens to Katrina Victims 

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and the United Way of Treasure Valley have partnered to provide a health and social services information line to the handful of relocated Hurricane Katrina survivors who now call Idaho home. By dialing the Idaho CareLine at 2-1-1, evacuees can access information about health care services, food resources via the Food Stamp Program or local food banks, unemployment assistance, mental health counseling, replacing lost or destroyed personal identification, accessing bank accounts and resources to help locate family members.
