Idaho Commission on the Arts Announces 2019 Arts Grants

Each year, the Idaho Commission on the Arts disburses hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to small groups and high-profile organizations across the state. This year, the commission announced on July 2 that grants totaling nearly $545,000 will be awarded to 71 arts groups across the Gem State, and as in years past, Boise's arts scene was a major recipient, receiving almost 40 percent of all grant money.

Here were the big Boise grant awardees, by category:

Arts Education Grants, which support schools, individuals and organizations that offer arts education:
