Photographer and College of Idaho archivist Jan Boles will present An Encompassing View: Photographs of Willa Cather’s Southwest Landscape. Boles will offer a power point lecture on noted 20th century photographers of the American West who worked in the locales common to Willa Cather’s novels set in the Southwest. He will illustrate his talk with images of works by Laura Gilpin, Ansel Adams and many other photographers. His presentation also will include a demonstration of the large format cameras used by this generation of landscape photographers.
